The Studio
Sacred Heartistry is a Catholic fine art and design studio dedicated to creating original sacred paintings and traditional digital illustration.
My name is Brittney MacKenzie, I’m the artist behind Sacred Heartistry. I am a convert-revert back at home in the Catholic Church. With God’s grace, I have made a jump from a successful career in the fashion industry of NYC to committing fully to creating Catholic Sacred Art and Design. I decided to use all of the skills that I have acquired over the past 20 years of designing for many internationally known fashion brands to help parishes and businesses illustrate the beauty of God and draw hearts closer to Him. For my sacred artwork, it is my mission to convey the divine spiritual realities around us and to shed light in an increasingly ever-darkening worldly culture.
The studio does commission and freelance based work; focusing on full branding packages, logos, digital illustrations & art direction. As an oil painter, my focus is to create sacred paintings for Catholic businesses, schools, religious orders, national shrines, parishes and private collections.
The repertoire of my fine artwork is a combination of mediums, including oil, watercolor, graphite, charcoal and digital illustration. Influenced by Italian and Dutch Renaissance masters, these traditions of the past are juxtaposed alongside modern digital and design. My paintings are focused on a mix between capturing nature and an ongoing effort to pursue the perspective of Judeo-Christian spirituality, natural law realities and storytelling, based in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
